I started building this clock for the shop and hated it almost immediately, lol. Starting again I decided to go dystopian-retro-futuristic in the style of the Fallout video games. (NO interest in the games what-so-ever but the art from that game is absolutely my vibe). I had some project panel foam left over from the mega-diorama build and decided to try using it for this. I really do love working with this stuff, super versatile! With the foam shaped I went looking for detail greeblies. I found some old chrome trim from my Super Beetle, and an old dome light from my dad’s old work van. Adding my standard upholstery tacks for rivets and one of my all time favourite retro colours and I was close…needed more….So I designed a funky cool retro logo and added some great retro starbursts and made it look like the bomb had been dropped.
