For a long time I have loved automotive and motorsport manufacturer’s logos and branding, especially their original versions. So many companies these days simplify their logos and color schemes in the name of refreshing or modernizing their brand. Something is always lost. Their original detail, original color palette, even their meaning is sometimes lost. 🏁

To pay tribute to the pioneers of these brands I wanted to recreate wall art to hang in my office. Dusting off my old school sign painting tools and rusty skills I set out to make myself a set of all my favourites of yesteryear. I tried to find original color palettes, as good as can be accomplished using reference from the web. I love the look of old weathered signs (should be no surprise to anyone who is following me, lol). So I decided to give MOST of these that vintage worn down by decades of outdoor use look. A few however I decided to leave pristine as I didn’t have the heart to weather them 🙂 Also to prove to the world I can create things that look new if need be, haha
