In the same category as of Motorsport Wall art I have always had a soft spot for the GULF livery and any old art that had the GULF logo. Again I wanted an old school original logo and needed to make it look like it’s been hanging on a building for decades. However, I gave it a bit of a twist. I imagined that a future version of the GULF company may get out of the fossil fuel world and into building robots and androids, thus it became the GULF Cybernetics Corporation! This “VW” logo is along the same idea. I imagined Volkswagen branching out into the space race and starting a division of “People’s Starships” This is a real retro-futuristic color palette and design and I get a chuckle every time I look at it 🙂
