Mike at M2 Graphix really liked the treatment I did on the walls in my office and commissioned me to “do something cool” to these new plywood divider panels in the back of his shop. I could have made them look like concrete like in my office but I wanted to challenge myself to try and make these full 4’x 8′ sheets of plywood look like big sheets of steel. First up, these panels needed to look like they were fastened with some nuts and bolts— some BIG nuts and bolts! 96 nuts later, I added some wooden dowling to look like bolts and glued and nailed them up. A coat of black primer, sanding, then a coat of silver Tremclad to get things looking a little metallic. Big logo added and then it was time for, you guessed it: weathering!
